Welcome to the Tyrrell's Farm website.

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website and your visit to Tyrrell's Farm's Pick Your Own (PYO) site. By accessing our website or visiting the farm, you agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions.

If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use our website or visit the farm.

3. Seasonal Opening

Tyrrell's Farm operates seasonally.

Opening dates, opening hours, crop availability and visitor access may change at short notice due to:

  • Weather conditions

  • Crop availability

  • Farming operations

  • Health and safety requirements

  • Exceptional circumstances beyond our control

We recommend checking our website or social media before travelling.

4. Admission

Entry to the Pick Your Own site is currently free unless otherwise advertised.

Entry does not guarantee that specific crops will be available.

Visitors enter the farm at their own risk, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

5. Crop Availability

As a working farm, crop yields vary throughout the season.

Although we do our best to provide accurate information, we cannot guarantee:

  • The availability of specific crops

  • The quality, size or quantity of produce

  • That crops will remain available throughout the day

Availability may change without notice.

6. Picking Produce

Visitors are welcome to pick produce made available for Pick Your Own.

Please remember:

  • Only pick produce you intend to purchase.

  • Do not damage plants unnecessarily.

  • Please use the containers or equipment provided where applicable.

  • Produce remains the property of Tyrrell's Farm until it has been paid for.

Eating produce while picking is not permitted.

7. Children

Children are very welcome.

However:

  • Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

  • Parents and guardians remain responsible for the behaviour and safety of children in their care.

  • Children must not climb on machinery, equipment, fences, hay bales or other farm structures.

8. Farm Safety

Tyrrell's Farm is a working farm.

Visitors should take extra care at all times.

Potential hazards include:

  • Uneven ground

  • Mud

  • Nettles

  • Bees and wasps

  • Farm vehicles

  • Agricultural machinery

  • Slippery surfaces

Visitors should:

  • Wear suitable footwear.

  • Follow marked routes where provided.

  • Remain within designated visitor areas.

  • Follow all instructions given by members of staff.

Failure to follow safety instructions may result in visitors being asked to leave the site.

9. Accessibility

We aim to make Tyrrell's Farm as welcoming as possible.

Some areas, including the yard, have firm surfaces suitable for many mobility aids.

However, the picking fields are working agricultural land and may include uneven, muddy or soft ground that may not be suitable for all wheelchairs or mobility equipment, particularly after wet weather.

If you have specific accessibility requirements, we encourage you to contact us before visiting so that we can advise on current conditions.

10. Dogs

To help protect our crops, wildlife and visitors, dogs are not permitted on the Pick Your Own site.

If you require an assistance dog, please contact us before your visit so we can discuss suitable arrangements.

11. Food & Picnics

Visitors are welcome to bring their own food and enjoy a picnic during their visit.

Food vendors may also be available on site during selected events.

Please dispose of all litter responsibly or take it home with you.

Barbecues, open fires and disposable barbecues are not permitted anywhere on the farm.

12. Smoking & Vaping

Smoking and vaping are prohibited within the Pick Your Own fields.

Please use any designated smoking area if one is provided.

13. Alcohol & Drugs

Anyone who appears to be intoxicated or behaves in a manner that places themselves, other visitors or staff at risk may be refused entry or asked to leave the site.

Illegal drugs are strictly prohibited.

14. Photography

Visitors are welcome to take photographs for personal, non-commercial use.

By visiting during busy periods, you acknowledge that you may appear incidentally in photographs or videos taken by other visitors.

Commercial photography, organised photo shoots, filming or promotional content creation must be arranged in advance with Tyrrell's Farm and may incur a fee.

15. Drones

The use of drones is prohibited unless prior permission has been obtained from Tyrrell's Farm.

Unauthorised drone use may result in visitors being asked to leave the site.

16. Wildlife

We are proud to support local wildlife and encourage visitors to respect the natural environment.

Please do not:

  • Disturb wildlife.

  • Damage hedgerows.

  • Pick wild plants unless clearly identified as part of the Pick Your Own experience.

  • Leave litter behind.

17. Parking

Free parking is available for visitors.

Vehicles are parked entirely at the owner's risk.

Tyrrell's Farm accepts no responsibility for theft, damage or loss to vehicles or their contents except where required by law.

Please park only in designated areas.

18. Right to Refuse Entry

We reserve the right to refuse admission or require visitors to leave the site where:

  • Behaviour is abusive or threatening.

  • Visitors fail to follow safety instructions.

  • Farm property is deliberately damaged.

  • Theft is suspected.

  • Visitors place themselves or others at risk.

No refund will be due where entry has been refused because of unacceptable behaviour.

19. Liability

While visiting Tyrrell's Farm, visitors accept that agriculture presents natural risks that cannot be completely removed.

Nothing within these Terms excludes or limits our liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by negligence.

  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

  • Any liability that cannot legally be excluded under English law.

Subject to the above, Tyrrell's Farm shall not be liable for:

  • Damage to personal property.

  • Loss of personal belongings.

  • Minor injuries resulting from normal countryside hazards where reasonable care has been taken.

Visitors remain responsible for their own personal belongings at all times.
