WELCOME TO THE FARM

The Arable side of the business produces Winter Wheat, Spring Wheat, Oil Seed Rape, Beans, Barley and Sugar Beet. The cereals are all sold through merchants for Animal feed/Milling and the Sugar Beet is grown on contract for British Sugar to be turned into Silver Spoon sugar. Potatoes have been grown continuously on the farm up until 2021 when the decision was taken to cease production for other business interests. The potato area is now let to a neighboring grower so the crop rotation benefits of potatoes are still available.

ABOUT US

We are a 3rd generation family arable farm/horticultural business growing cut flowers, Pumpkins, cereals, sugar beet, daffodil bulbs and asparagus. The business was founded in the 1930’s by James William Tyrrell on a smallholding in the centre of Cowbit village, near the town of Spalding in South Lincolnshire. Still a family owned business and run by Trevor and William Tyrrell the farm has expanded over the years the farm but is still based on the eastern edge of Cowbit. Recent large investments in storage and cooling facilities are showing great results with the new PYO Pumpkin venture, brand activities and social media activities progressing well the future looks bright.
